It has been pointed out that the conventional elemental analysis method by destroying or dissolving tissues may not reflect the in vivo condition. In this project, as a research tactic to understand biometal dynamics in situ, we work on establishment of bio-chemical imaging using quantum nanobeam and construction of intracellular biometal dynamics characteristics. In particular, the purpose is to elucidate the formation mechanism of localized and concentrated biometals by combination of hyperspectral image to grasp precise tissue or cell structure and nanobeam based elemental analysis, such as particle induced X-ray emission (PIXE), synchrotron radiation X-ray fluorescence (SR-XRF) and X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) to obtain biometal distribution and chemical status.
